And the Girlfriend Graduates again

After over a year of working as a Nurse, Alyssa Graduates again; this time from her Post Graduation studies at Notre Dame. It's been a long year for her with work and studies and I'm so proud of her on her Achievements. This girl has been passionate about what she does for a living from the very start and I'm sure her patients would have also seen that in her.

Couldn't have asked for a better way to end off the year. I'm looking forward to 2014, and it's always exciting to wonder about what kinds of photos I will get to shoot in the future! Don't forget to come back and visit my page and I thank everyone who has kept an interest in what I do.

Jing's Birthday Surprise

On this sunny afternoon, Aquila had a plan to surprise his girlfriend on her birthday. The plan started off with us both scouting out for a decent location that was near her house. He decided that it would be nice next to the river with the breeze and view and off he went to pick Jing up. When Jing arrived, he made her cover he eyes and walked towards the location where I was getting ready for the shots, while holding the flowers...yes I was multitasking. Once he got there, he made sure that Jing kept her eyes close, and while wrapping her arms around her, he presented the flowers and the necklace.

I have to say....she seemed more surprised that there was a random guy standing in front of her taking pictures! Hah! But once we got past that, it was all smiles and how happy they both looked together :)

Hopefully I will get to do a photo shoot with them again soon! Since we only had about 15mins to shoot for this one.

Skate shoot with the Girlfriend

It was a sunny day and we were bored at home watching TV in the stuffy house thinking of ways to spend time as a couple. Next thing you know, I grabbed my camera, she grabbed her board....put on her little skater outfit and off we went shooting! We started off thinking we could do "skating" shoot, but that didn't turn out very well. Our skater was a little rusty...

Before she tells me off after reading this blog lets move on from the skating bit and talk about the photos we have here :)

We had some hipster idea that we should make the shots look a little more rustic/vintage, whatever you wanna call it and started looking for backdrops that might complement our idea. Turned out we pretty much had no idea what we wanted to work with and ended up shooting in the middle of the street. BF/Photography/Me then had this idea that we should shoot in the bushes...look how that turned out! Not too shabby :)

Yup I wrote heaps this time.

Ben Lee's Photoshoot

Here are some of the photos from my recent shoot with Ben, a freelance dancer/adult entertainer. The shoot we did was a little tricky as we had to make do with a DIY studio setup, and minimum gear to use. Despite all that, I have to say the photos turned out better than I expected in terms of lighting. Really enjoyed the shoot and the costumes from Ben we got to work with!  

A shot I took during the Pre-Wedding party Esther had before flying off to Kenya for her wedding. It was a day filled with food, sunshine, and a very excited Bride To Be. Absolutely loved these flowers that her sister got her and couldn't help making her do a little pose with it for me :)

The Things She Like
We prepared for this shot by bringing along some of the things she likes. Such as her vintage shoes, her film camera and her new bike. A simple shot with a tiny bit of flair from the sun to add subject. Could have picked a better location but since we had the bike with us, that made things a bit harder.

Been awhile since my last update, but that's gonna change :)

Bubbles!
Spent the day playing with bubbles and trying to get some nice shots out of it. Unfortunately Alyssa couldn't really blow bubbles -_- But lucky for us, she finally got a hang of it and even made a lemon shaped bubble! Come look at my Facebook page for more of my recent work :)

Film Fun

Shots from my 2nd film roll ever! It's such fun shooting with film although I get uncomfortable with the fact that I can't immediately see the result of my shots. Makes it a lot harder as well when you only have that one shot and if it doesn't look great, you'll have nothing else of it.

But yehh loving film.
